TANJA ANDREJASIC WECHSLER

Tanja Andrejasic Wechsler is an engineer, philosopher, media ecologist, designer and above all else, a devoted and committed water advocate. Growing up in Slovenia, a country renowned for its pristine water and water rights, Tanja spent much of her childhood near streams and rivers, observing water in its purest form. She has since in her adult life, in New York and beyond, the widespread lack of information and hence lack of respect for water; a disconnect from the source of all life, water, so readily available in diminished forms. Disheartened by profit-driven agendas, which have hoodwinked the consumer, she decided to commit her life to representing water, becoming a bridge between water and the general public, with her I AM WATER bottle and its educational mission. Underpinning her vision is a deeper quest to help reawaken humanity’s reverence for water and respect for all Life.

With over a decade of in-depth study, both philosophical and systemic, around the big picture of water, Tanja has set new horizons for water advocacy and creative collaborations. Her design and engineering background culminated in the creation of I AM WATER, a project that pushes the boundaries of design and materials. The I AM WATER glass bottle, designed in the shape of a water drop, is the beautiful medium bringing her message to the public, through partnerships with brands, organizations and the immediate consumer.

The I AM WATER sculpture, along with a line of beautiful, water-drop-shaped glass water bottles and other water-related products, designed by Tanja, forms part of a campaign to protect and restore clean water.
